How do I remove the Powered by Blogger from my Blogger blog in the new blogger interface?
In order to remove you will need to edit the blogger template and delete the attribution widget in the new Blogger interface.

If you are using the old interface, please read this post on removing Powered by Blogger in old Blogger interface.

Please backup your blogger template before you make any changes to it. This helps to revert back to the original template when something goes wrong while editing your template. The steps for backup and restore are discussed here in detail.

Steps to remove the Powered by Blogger text from your blog in the new Blogger interface:
1. Click on the Template link in the left navigation menu.

2. Click on the Edit HTML button

.
3.Select the Expand Widget Templates check-box

4. Remove the following highlighted code.

5. Click on Save Template Button.
6. A warning is displayed.Click on Delete Widgets and click on Save Template Button.

Just go to the edit html and search for POWERED BY BLOGGER.....

when it founds it rename it to Owned By AbC

This is more important for “Remove the Powered by Blogger from my Blogger blog in the new blogger interface?” Dynamic templates can be removed from your blog - but be careful if you want to keep any gadgets etc that were on your blog before it went dynamic.

@master_sh: You did not close the end tag. Try adding this tag

Hi Everyone,
I have figured it out and I have come back to tell you as I like this blogger for trying to help. Here is the answer-

1) Go to the blogger control panel, that is either the one listing all the blogs connected to your account, or just the one blog, OR go to the particular blog's dashboard.

2) Look in the top right hand corner, you'll see a gear cog looking icon which is the settings. Click on it, and choose the 'old blogger interface'.

3) Go to the 'design' section in the old blogger interfact of your blog (for me the blog interface is kind of beige/brown, I don't know about for you). and go to the 'edit html' section.

4) Check the 'expand widget templates' on the top right of the html box, and do a search for 'Attribution'. I love Opera, but Opera was crap because every time I found it and clicked on the relevant section, it just returned me to the top. The Chrome search (Ctrl+F) function is much better.

5) Select the WHOLE code- from <b:section ---- to </b:..... , everything and delete. This is so you delete the entire module. Then press 'save'. An option will come up asking if you 'really' want to delete the attributions module. Click the Yes, please! and it sticks. Problem solved.

I'll check back in a couple of days if there are any questions.

Go to 'edit html' in your design tab.

Find the word 'attribution' (ctrl + f). In that line, it will say 'true', just change that 'true' to a 'false' and save your template.

Then go to your 'page elements', scroll down to the 'attribution' gadget and edit it. Then all you have to do it hit the remove button.
Worked for me.

Just find 'attribution' and change 'true' to 'false'-> save template.
Now you can remove.

I have finally found what it is. It depends which template you use. The newest ones don't work, the older ones take you back to the old dashboard, and the ones in between are okay.

The dynamic templates don't work.

So- if it's not working for you, change your template and try again. The simple blog templates are generally fine, the dynamic ones give problems.

blackvinegar net said...

ps. I already tried that true to false one yesterday. It doesn't let you save it.
