GMAIL imposter on the loose stay safe

Gmail it seems is always getting security threats. Recently my friend found a phishing site that sends you a mail telling you to update your Gmail account
You get a message from [email protected]
Then you will be directed to this page.

The site asks your GMAIL username and password.
Once it gets that all the information including your credit card information goes to a hacker.
The site can fool users as a browser does not pop up any errors. The site web address is the only thing that tells that the site is safe.

There is also another security check by checking the digital certificate of Gmail, before you sign in.
